The "MHTY" plates were the best bumpers on the market, however not any more! They were the first rubber bumpers to introduce a consistent width across each weight denomination (25, 20, 15 & 10kg), heavy duty steel inserts, and one part construction (not machined together with bolts). This made the MHTY's a radical and favourable departure from what was previously available. This design has now been improved, and patented.
Don't get caught out with cheap no brand bumpers with brass inserts that are 90mm thick per plate. We have tried these in the past and have had numerous issues with them. Spend a bit extra for a trusted brand name plate with an average width across the range of about 57.5mm! This means you can load a normal 7 foot barbell up with about 300kg! The quality of these have been compared to Elieko and Uesaka plates, however at a fraction of the cost.

Quality Delivery Value Two Thumbs Up is the best way to describe my product review about Garage Gym's Complete set of Gym Bumper. For some people its price maybe too much to pay, especially for people who dont do lifting regularly, but for me and my lifestyle, it is definitely worth every penny. I have tried 3 different brands of cheap bumpers before these and had problems with them all.
Would you recommend this product to a friend? Definitely yes
Its durability is amazing as I have been using mine for 6 months already prior to writing this review and I am proud to say that it has still no cracks, dents or even scratches. I take care of stuff so that probably explains it. But I still have to give credit toGarage Gym as they’re rubber bumper does not scratch or dent easily, unlike other brands that I had in the past. Also the steel inserts are great, I have had endless problems with brass inserts in the past. Its bar fit is just perfect as its center hub fit just right. Not to tight and not too loose either. Good job on supporting the crossfit community!

Great bumpers, put through the hard yards and still havent split! Review by Grant
Quality Delivery Value Have to give the garage gym bumpers a big applaud on these bumpers. I bought a set of the black ones and they are great! I have been using them for about 4 months and they still havent split + inserts still havent budged.
Would you recommend this product to a friend? Definitely yes
Ive had 2 sets before my garage gym bumpers, first were a cheaper set with brass insert "im guessing made in china", these cost me about 2k for the set with bar. The bar ends broke and the brass inserts loosened and came out after about 2 weeks. My next set was a set of aus kettlebell ones and they were just as bad and ended up selling them to my local gym for a major loss so they could use them for normal weight lifting.
I have a few mates who train crossfit with me every day and we certaily put the bumpers through their paces and they have held up better than any bumpers I have ever used!
I also can recommend the garage gym bar which I have and the force usa Glute Ham Developer which is great. (Posted on 29/04/10)
