MyRack J-Hook Option 2
The Force USA MyRack J-Hooks Option 2 is an upgraded version of our Standard J-Hook. The deluxe version offers an additional 400kg weight capacity than the standard, resulting in a massive 1200kg (static tested) weight rating! The Deluxe J-Hook's also feature nylon covering the entire face of the J-Hook, rather than just the inside, so you can protect your expensive barbells knurling for years to come!
SAFE FOR YOU AND YOUR BARBELL
The MyRack Deluxe J-Hooks feature a unique, precision welded support bracket that extends both further out from the back of the J-Hook, and further down from its lower surface, adding extreme safety and structural integrity. The smooth, hard nylon plastic on the Deluxe J-Hook covers its entire face providing a wider surface to rest the bar on. The J-Hook screws are thoughtfully placed on the sides of the support bracket, removing any risk of damaging your bar's knurling on them.Attachment is compatible with the Force USA MyRack and MyRack SpaceSaver ONLY

A really sturdy product by Force USA. I wouldn’t even bother with standard. For the extra $20 - this is a no brainer
Seems to be reasonable quality. Definitely happy to upgrade from the base model especially considering the price isn't much more.
I'll buy it if Force USA comes up with version 2. Ditch the silly vacuum holes of the plastic for a solid plastic piece. The plastic will crack around the hollows eventually.
The j hooks are ok but nowhere near commercial quality. They move/twist very easily so when placing a heavy bar on them during squats, one of them tends to move and sits on an angle under the bar. If you have to centre the bar on the hooks, sliding the bar along them causes one of them to move sideways - not enough to twist out, but enough to notice. The material on the j hooks is also quite weak, easily scratched and scuffed by standard olympic bar knurling. They are quite tight on some of the positions on the uprights causing the face of the uprights (including the numbers) to be scratched. The numbers will be worn away fairly quickly at the heights I frequently use.
These are good, I chose them over the more basic option because they are larger and don't have screws exposed to the bar. But they do have some issues. One on one of them the weld seam on the plate that curls around the back prevents the hook from actually sitting completely flush against the uprights. So it's always on a very slight angle. The other thing is I don't understand why the plastic insert has these hollow slots. That results in the plastic compressing on the edges, especially if the hook isn't sitting horizontal, as previously mentioned. I ended up cutting small wooden inserts and putting them in those slots beneath the bar because I was worried the plastic was going to crack, as I've seen has happened to some others. I also think these would be better with a second retractable pin to make them more secure, but that would increase the price.
I think these are fine, but they need a re-design. And of course the disadvantage of the myrack is that it's unique pin and upright size means you are limited to the two options Force USA provide.
