Commercial Preacher Bench
Certain weightlifting exercises are meant to focus on developing the muscles on very specific parts of the body. If you are looking for the perfect exercise to get started on that road to the perfect biceps, then the commercial preacher bench is right up your alley.
The preacher curl is a type of weightlifting exercise meant specifically to facilitate the development of strong and big biceps. While it may be tempting to let it replace other biceps-related exercises, it is still important to note that the preacher curl often plays a more supplementary role in developing the biceps; hence, it is something that is done in addition to, rather than in lieu of the average muscle-building routine.
To perform the preacher curl, simply follow these simple instructions. Be seated on the preacher bench. Align your armpits to the sloping area of the apparatus; this can be achieved by adjusting the height of the bench as necessary. Grab hold of the weight; make sure to hold it with palms facing up, so it really works the biceps as it is intended to. As you do this, assure that your arms are fully extended and that your arms are rested upon the bench. Once you feel comfortable with your position, simply lift the weight curling up, keeping the upper arms in contact with the bench until your forearms form a right angle with the bench. Hold this position for a while before slowly lowering the weight. Make sure that you are lowering the weight slowly, keeping your muscles flexed so as to maximize its effects, as well as to keep yourself safe from the possibility of injury.
