You can quickly adjust each quick lock dumbell from 5-75 lbs (2.3-34kgs) with the Ironmaster patented quick lock design in under 15 seconds. The base set includes the rack at no extra charge. How do they work?
The weights are secured by a locking screw mechanism. The screws are made of solid steel, consisting of a 4 inch diameter knurled disc welded to a 1 inch diameter partially threaded shaft. The handles are made out of chrome plated solid steel. They weigh 5 pounds alone. The grip is really thick and knurled. 

The handles are threaded inside with the offsetting section of locking screw channelled out. This allows you to easily slide the locking screw in and then tighten with just 1/4 - 3/4 turn. You just line the notch in the locking screw up with the notch in the handle and the screw slides in or out. It is just like a big nut and bolt except you only need to make a 1/4-3/4 turn to tighten or loosen.

The weights are made out of rugged precision machined iron - capable of withstanding dropping. They are machined so they will stack into one another against the dumbell handle. This means that the weights will stay in place when the locking screw is out.

Add-On Kit

The add on kit adds 45 lbs (20kg) to each dumbell which allows them to go up to 120 lbs (54.4kg) each!! The kit includes 4 longer locking screws and additional weight plates. It is still just as simple to use, you simply use the longer locking screws for the weights between 70-120lbs (32-54.4kg).
